Abstract preparation guidelines
Case reports abstracts
MS Word file, structured, no more than 300 words (excluding title, authors list and affiliation)

The Abstract should be structured into the following sections;
Title (which clearly indicates the nature of report)
Authors (List of authors)
Affiliation (Institutional Affiliation)
Case report
References (optional )
Table: One table. Use the tabs, do not use grid tables. Give a title to the label. Embed the table in the main text document
Images: Two images in high quality JPEG or PNG format. Send a clearly labeled (as Figure 1. MRI of wrist) separate file.
Abstract Rules
1. Last date for submission of abstracts is 25/8/2018.
2. Registration for the conference is mandatory for presentation of the abstract.
3. Case reports and case series would be judged not only based on the novelty but also relevance and education for the delegates.
4. Best 8 case reports’ presenting author should be willing to present the work during the Indian Rheumatology Association (IRA) Medical College CME for UGs & PGs on 9th September 2018.
• Only 10 slides including the introduction and conclusion slide.
• The ppt must be forwarded to the Scientific  Committee by 31st August 2018.
• Time allocated is 7 minutes maximum.
5.  The decision of the scientific committee chairperson would be final.




CMRNCD Activities Abstract 2014-2016


CMRNCD organised ACMECON 2014 in association with department of Internal Medicine and department of Community medicine on 9th February 2014 at Medical Education Hall ACME, Pariyaram. The theme of conference was “Control NCD: Protect Community”. The session provided current knowledge about various non communicable diseases.


On 8th April 2014, CMRNCD organised a course work session on Research Methodology and Biostatistics, at Department of Medicine.


On 23rd July 2014, CMRNCD, in association with Department of Cardiology and Department of Medicine, organised a guest lecture on topic” Latest approaches of Ventricular Tachycardia” at department of Medicine.


CMRNCD organised a work shop on Research Methodology and Biostatistics, on 5th and 6th August 2014, at department of Medicine.


CMRNCD conducted a presentation on 17th January 2015, by Dr. Zulfikar Ali and Dr. Manu Ayyan on the topic of “ Low cost assembled video Laryngoscopy“ at Medical Education hall, ACME , Pariyaram.


A Lecture on the topic “Dengue update” was organised by CMRNCD at Department of Medicine on 23rd June 2015. Dr. Balakrishnan Valliyot, Head, CMRNCD gave the lecture on this topic.


On 16th November 2015, CMRNCD has conducted NCD quiz for post graduate students of Medicine


On 6th January 2016, Mr. Sachil Kumar, Research Scholar, CMRNCD has presented his Doctoral Thesis at department of Medicine. The session was organised by CMRNCD



PhramaTrendz 16 - State Level CME conducted by CMRNCD

The Centre for Medical Research& Non Communicable Disease (CMRNCD) and Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences (APSC) jointly organize PHARMATRENDZ 2016 a State Level CME focusing Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) Pharmacovigilance antibiotics and also a series of talk by National experts in the field. This is the second major CME organized by CMRNCD . All interested doctors researchers and students are invited.

Low cost assembled Video Laryngoscopy - Presentation

The Centre for Medical Research and Non-Communicable Diseases (CMRNCD) is organising a presentation by Dr. Sulfikar Ali and Dr. Manu Ayyan (EMD) who bagged the prestigious Dr. MIMS Award for the best innovation in the field of medicine in Kerala State 2014.
